Samsung Expands S25 Lineup With Affordable Galaxy S25 FE at ₹59,999
Samsung has officially rounded off its Galaxy S25 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S25 FE, the fifth and most affordable member of the family. Priced from ₹59,999, the new Fan Edition (FE) device promises a flagship-like experience at a more accessible price point, slotting in beneath the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and the iPhone Air rival, the S25 Edge.

Samsung Launches Galaxy S25 FE |
A Familiar Formula, Refined
The FE series has always struck a balance between premium features and affordability, and the Galaxy S25 FE continues that tradition. While last year’s Galaxy S24 FE was a solid device with compromises—such as extra bulk and slightly lower performance—the new model refines the formula.
Samsung has focused on polish over reinvention. Subtle upgrades like a slimmer frame, lighter weight, more efficient processor, larger battery, and faster charging make the S25 FE a more confident entry in the competitive mid-premium segment.
Slimmer, Lighter, More Premium
The design refinements are noticeable right out of the box:
-
Weight: 190g (down from 213g on the S24 FE)
-
Thickness: 7.4mm (slimmer than the previous 8mm profile)
-
Build: Aluminium frame, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, IP68 dust and water resistance
-
Look: Slimmer bezels, more pronounced camera rings, and closer resemblance to the flagship Galaxy S25 design
The S25 FE feels sturdy, stylish, and easier to hold for longer durations—whether scrolling, texting, or binge-watching videos.
Display and Colors
The phone carries over a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates. While it skips LTPO adaptive scaling, it offers:
-
Local brightness: 1200 nits
-
Peak brightness: ~1900 nits for HDR content
-
Experience: Vibrant colors, deep blacks, and excellent contrast
Small tweaks in calibration also make visuals appear more natural, especially with HDR streaming on apps like Netflix and YouTube.
Color options include Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White, with Icyblue standing out as the most striking. The retail package remains minimalist: handset, USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and paperwork—no charger included.
Competing in a Crowded Market
With phones like the iPhone 16e, Pixel 9a, and discounted flagship devices from 2024 vying for attention, Samsung is betting on refinement and value to win over customers. The Galaxy S25 FE’s balance of performance, build quality, and price may give it the edge in this segment.
